Subscribing and billing
Subscriptions run through Stripe from start to finish: the payment page is theirs, the invoices are theirs, and your card never touches the platform. This page covers how to subscribe and where to manage the subscription afterwards.
Monthly or yearly
The Pricing section on the home page has a Billing cycle switch between Monthly and Yearly.
Choose Yearly and each card shows how much you save, plus the equivalent monthly line in the form "{price} / month, billed yearly", so you can compare without doing the arithmetic yourself.
How to subscribe
Create your account and sign in first, then:
- Open the home page and scroll to Pricing.
- Pick Monthly or Yearly with the Billing cycle switch.
- Press Subscribe on the plan card you want.
- Finish the payment on Stripe's secure page. Your card details are entered there and never reach the platform.
- You come back to the site and see "Payment received. Your plan turns on within a few seconds." If you leave before paying, you get "Checkout canceled. Nothing was charged."
Manage subscription
After your first subscription, Manage subscription appears in your account menu directly above Sign out, and on your plan card in Pricing. It does not show before you have a customer record at Stripe, which means before your first subscription.
The button opens Stripe's billing portal. From there you change plan, switch between monthly and yearly, update your card, cancel, and read or download your invoice history.
The portal opens in English on the English site. On the Arabic site Stripe picks the language itself, since the portal has no Arabic interface.
Receipts and billing emails
Stripe emails you directly: a receipt for every payment, a confirmation for every refund, a reminder before a renewal, a warning when your card is about to expire, and a notice when a payment does not go through.
Every one of those emails carries a link to the billing portal, so you can reach it straight from your inbox.
Tax is worked out at checkout according to your country, and the breakdown is shown on the invoice.
Renewals and a payment that fails
A subscription renews automatically so your access never breaks, and renewals stop the moment you cancel.
A failed renewal is not the end of the subscription: Stripe retries for a while and your access stays on during that time. Update your card from Manage subscription and it settles itself.
Changing plan
Plan changes happen inside the billing portal, not on the site. You pick the new plan and Stripe works out the difference for the remaining time.
Cancelling and the refund rules have their own page: Refunds and cancelling.
