Plan limits

Each plan sets amounts: how many projects you keep, how many fonts you upload, how much space you use. This page explains what is counted, what happens when you reach a limit, and how to make room. Today's figures are all in the Pricing section on the home page.

What is counted

Projects: how many saved projects your account holds.

Size per project: a project with big pictures or traced outlines grows fast.

Uploaded fonts: every font file you brought into the Font Builder.

Shape packs: every shapes font you created in Font Shapes.

Storage: everything your projects and fonts take together.

Biggest picture: the largest image file you can place on the artboard.

Extract letters or shapes from images: how many times a month you can Trace a picture, which is not included on the free plan.

What happens at a limit

Nothing you already have is lost. The server only refuses the new item, and a message names the limit you hit, such as "You've reached your plan's project limit", "You've reached your plan's uploaded-font limit", or "You've reached your plan's storage limit".

A project that grew too big reports "This project exceeds your plan's size limit". Your work stays on screen, but saving stops until you lighten the project or move up a plan.

If you are editing a project you are not allowed to save, you see Autosave paused with a Save as copy button that saves it under your own name.

Pictures and the size allowed

Pick a picture larger than your plan allows and the This picture is too big card appears. It shows the picture's size and the maximum, then offers Make it smaller for me or Choose another picture.

If the picture carries far too much detail you get "This picture has more detail than the app can put in a file" instead, and if the file type is not usable the app offers to convert it for you.

Some pictures stay too big even after shrinking, and then the message says so plainly and asks you to choose a smaller one.

Tracing pictures

Trace comes with a paid plan and has a monthly counter. On the free plan the panel says tracing comes with a paid plan.

When the month's counter runs out you get "You've reached your plan's monthly tracing limit". The counter starts again next month.

How to make room

The cleanest way is to take old work out of the account and keep it on your device.

  1. Open Projects from the editor's top bar.
  2. Use Download project on a piece you have finished, or Export all to download every project as one zip.
  3. Check the file arrived on your device, then use Delete project and confirm with Yes.
  4. To bring it back one day, use Open project for a single file, or Import all for a batch.
  5. For space too: delete an uploaded font you no longer use from the Font Builder, and shrink pictures before you place them.

Where to see your plan's figures

Every figure is in the Pricing section on the home page, on each plan card, and your own card is marked Current plan.

We do not print the numbers here because they change on the site itself, and a help page would fall behind the truth.
