Messages and warnings
Every message in the app says something specific and has one right response. This page collects the ones you actually meet: integrity warnings, locked badges, limit messages, and the save, picture and export notices.
Integrity warnings
The Properties panel ends with Integrity. It reads your selected text and lists Errors and Warnings, and clicking a row jumps to the letter it means. When everything is fine it says "No issues found."
"No glyph for … in the selected form": the current font has no drawing for this letter in this form. Change the font, or build the letter in the Font Builder.
"… joins but the pack is missing a connected form": the font lacks one of the joined shapes. Add it in the Font Builder, or use a fuller font.
"… cannot connect to the previous (non-connecting) letter": correct Arabic behaviour, not a fault. Some letters do not join to what follows them.
"Weak join near …": the two letters meet awkwardly. Try an alternate shape in the Letter panel, run Beautify, or stretch the connection with the Kashida tool.
"The mark … has no base letter to attach to": a tashkeel mark with no letter under it. Delete it, or put it after a letter.
"Duplicate diacritic … on the same base letter": two identical marks on one letter. Remove one of them.
"Mixed right-to-left and left-to-right text around …": Arabic and Latin in one layer. Put the Latin on its own layer so the order comes out right.
"The kashida here is unsafe, the letters do not both connect": this position cannot be stretched. Stretch between two joined letters instead.
"The character … is not supported by the engine": a character outside what the engine knows. Remove it or replace it.
Locked badges and the upgrade notice
Locked: the feature exists but belongs to a higher plan.
Paid: a premium font that needs a paid plan to use.
System: a font from the system library, view-only and not editable. You can still copy a letter out of it into your own font with Copy to my font.
"{feature} is on the {plan} plan": the notice you get when you press a locked control, with an Upgrade button that takes you to Pricing. It can also read "{feature} is available on a higher plan."
Limit messages
"You've reached your plan's project limit": download an old project and delete it, or move up a plan.
"This project exceeds your plan's size limit": the project itself is heavy. Take out big pictures or traced outlines, or split the work across two projects.
"You've reached your plan's uploaded-font limit": delete a font you no longer use from the Font Builder.
"You've reached your plan's shape-pack limit": delete an old shapes font from Font Shapes.
"You've reached your plan's storage limit": the total has hit the ceiling. Download what you have finished, then delete it.
"You've reached your plan's monthly tracing limit": this month's Trace counter is spent and starts again next month.
"This picture is larger than your plan allows": pick a smaller picture, or accept the app's offer to shrink it.
"Your plan has no room for more projects": shown in the import report about a project that did not come in.
Save messages
Unsaved changes: a new edit has not been saved yet. Autosave runs two seconds after your last edit.
Saved: your work reached your account safely.
"Couldn't save your changes, they're still on screen": the connection dropped or the server refused. Do not close the tab; press Save and try again.
Autosave paused with Save as copy: you are editing a project you are not allowed to save. Press Save as copy and it becomes a project of your own.
Picture messages
This picture is too big: shown with the picture's size and the maximum, offering Make it smaller for me or Choose another picture.
"This picture has more detail than the app can put in a file": its pixel dimensions are huge, and the app offers to shrink it.
"This kind of picture file can't be used as it is": the format is not usable directly, and the app offers to convert it for you.
"Even at its smallest this picture is …": shrinking was not enough. Start from a lighter picture.
"That file couldn't be read as a picture": the file is damaged, or it is not an image.
Export and cutting messages
"Too large for your browser to make as a picture": the requested density is beyond what the browser can build. Pick a smaller Resolution, or switch to SVG or PDF, which have no size limit.
"A Pattern is left out of a PDF": patterns are not printed into a PDF, and the colour or gradient underneath comes out instead.
"Select something on the canvas first": you chose the Selection frame with nothing selected.
In the Export for cutting (DXF) dialog the problems appear before you cut: skinny spots, loose pieces and details too small. Each one has a Fix button that sets Thicken by to the value that solves it, plus Fix all.
Project transfer messages
After every import or export you get a What happened report, with the Left out and Not in the download lists and a plain reason per file.
"This isn't a project file", "The project inside this file is damaged" and "This file couldn't be read": the file itself is not usable.
"Made by a newer version of the app": refresh the page and try again.
"Too big to come in with the others. Bring it in on its own" and "Too many projects at once": split the batch.
Fonts you don't have: the project came in and opens, but it uses a font you are missing. Add the font and the letters come out right.
The support session strip
If support signs in to your account to help you, a warning strip appears at the top of the screen with Return to my account, which ends that session at once.
You will not see this strip in normal use.
